Introduction
State patent “Hermes” magnetic metal
liner plates (patent No.: ZL 03 24403 X) is an updated and upgraded
replacement product of conventional manganese steel ones and
its technology passed the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry’s
appraisal in September, 1993. Furthermore, it was appraised
as a national new production
in October, 1994 which is a historical breakthrough in the
field of Ball Mill Linings. Compared with conventional manganese
steel linings, “Hermes” metal magnetic linings possess many
advantages such as long useful service life, lighter weight,
thinner linings , not only a considerable saving of steel ball
media and spare parts consumptions, electric energy, but also
less noises ,no need of screw bolt fixture, easy installation,
no leakage or ore slurry , and better working environment .More
magnetic metal liners greatly reduce working strength and avoid
potential risk.It has been proven that the service life of magnetic
metal lining in a large-scaled ball mill is 4-6 times longer
than that of conventional manganese steel lining. Also outstanding
